Physiotherapy Postnatal Focused Session

PELVIC FLOOR & CORE RECOVERY AFTER BIRTH

45 min
780 South African rand
Strand Street

Service Description

The six week check clears you for life, not for recovery. Postnatal physiotherapy with Tasneem Kader, our women's health physiotherapist, is where the real rebuilding happens, and it is care every mother is entitled to, whether your baby is six weeks or six years old. In this session Tasneem will tackle pelvic floor recovery and the leaking, urgency and heaviness that so many women are told to simply accept, assess your abdominal separation and begin proper deep core retraining, and examine and mobilise C section or perineal scar tissue where relevant. She treats the neck, back and rib pain that comes from feeding, lifting and carrying, and makes space to talk about painful intercourse, prolapse symptoms and any pelvic health concern you have been carrying quietly. From there you map out a staged pregnancy rehab pathway back to running, lifting and training at a pace your body agrees with. You are not complaining and it is not too late. Leaking when you sneeze, a stomach that will not respond, a back that aches by lunchtime, these are all treatable, and your postnatal recovery deserves the same attention your pregnancy did. Postnatal physiotherapy with Tasneem Kader at 94 Strand Street, Cape Town CBD.
